Who can participate?
OCS students in grades 6th -8th are eligible to participate in after school sports.
Do we play competitive games?
Yes! OCS is in the FIYA league that includes other local public and private schools.
What is the practice and game schedule?
Games are typically held once per week with practices 2-3 times/week. Coaches will determine and share the practice schedule and game schedule once they receive information from the league.
Who makes the teams?
All students in 6th – 8th grades may participate on the teams as long as their work habits and behavior during school support their participation and their families complete all required forms.
How does playing time work?
OCS is in a competitive league. Therefore, all students make the teams (no tryouts, just pre-season clinics), however playing time is based on ability so athletes do not have equal playing time. All athletes however practice all practices and participate fully as team members.
Games are from September to November. Practices start in August.
