Programs FAQs

OCS offers a wide variety of specialty programs. 1st-8th grade students participate in Games, Handwork and Japanese classes, each twice a week. 4th-5th grade students also participate in Strings. In our 6th-8th grades, students have a choice of Electives including Strings, Percussion, Chorus, Dance and Band.

We have an aftercare program available at both campuses. It is a fee-based program with financial assistance available to those who demonstrate financial need. The available programs offer care until 5pm or 6pm, depending on the specific plan chosen. Aftercare students are given opportunities for free play, and are offered a healthy snack everyday. In addition, homework assistance in grades 4th-8th is provided. There is currently no before school care available.

OCS has a hot lunch program available at both campuses for parents who wish to participate. Free and reduced lunches are available for students who qualify. There is no breakfast served at school at this time. A homemade snack is provided daily in kindergarten only.

Busing is not offered at this time, however parents in the community welcome the opportunity to carpool with other families.
