Essential Events

Annual Family Giving conducts the annual campaign. This team needs writers, graphic artists, organizational help, and people with pledge drive experience.

Winter Faire organizes the faire, with different parents heading up each area, including Bake Sale, Bazaar, Crafts, Decorations, Evergreen Trees, Food, Green Team, Marketing, Music, and Snow Fairy Market. Many hands needed to make this a great event.

Classroom & Teacher Support

Crafters Circle creates curricular items for students, and other items to sell at faires, auctions, and the school store for fundraising. Crafters meet every Wednesday morning after drop off in DR room 22.

Book Faire organizes the fall book faires at Del rey and Westchester campuses

Yearbook coordinates all materials needed for and publication of yearbook. Yearbook needs many volunteers; graphic design, layout and photography experience helpful but not required.

event ideas are offerred through our annual Silent Auction in spring, even if they occur throughout the year. We encourage anyone with a creative event idea to consider sharing it through the Silent Auction. An example would be offering a dinner party for a group of OCS families.

Community Life & Family Support

Alumni Night invite alumni parents and students to talk about their OCS experience and the process for finding the high school that is right for you. Coordinate food and drinks for guest alumni.

Development and Grants Task Force is creating a development plan to guide OCS’ future fundraising, grant writing, and campaigns. Many volunteers are needed for work in the near future.
